At La Mue, every length we place is Great Lengths — the house quietly regarded as the finest in the world, chosen wherever the result has to be invisible. The difference begins long before the hair reaches you: in where it comes from, how it is made, and the care with which it is matched to you alone.

Great Lengths works only in 100% Remy human hair: every strand kept facing the same direction, root to tip, exactly as it grew. That single detail is what keeps the hair from tangling, holds its natural shine, and lets it move and catch the light like hair that was always yours.
It is sourced with unusual care. The hair is given as a voluntary offering in the temples of India — donated freely, fully traceable, with the proceeds returned to the communities it comes from. It is then processed entirely by hand in Italy, where each strand is sorted and length-matched — what the craft calls double drawn — so the hair stays full from root to tip, never thin or wispy at the ends. Great Lengths was also the first hair house in the world to become a certified B Corporation.
The hair arrives in its natural state — deep brown to black, exactly as it was given, and never before chemically treated. To open up the full palette, Great Lengths does not reach for bleach. Instead the colour is drawn out through a patented, gentle de-pigmentation — an osmosis bath that lifts the natural pigment without bleach or ammonia, so the cuticle, the strength and the shine all stay intact.
Only then is the hair re-toned, with fade-proof dyes developed in-house using a method borrowed from the dyeing of fine cashmere, and finally hand-blended — several shades mixed by hand into one — to build a palette of more than a hundred multidimensional colours, from the deepest black to the brightest blonde, with rooted and sun-kissed effects in between. It is why the colour stays true and never turns brassy, and why even after lightening the hair still behaves like the finest virgin hair — because, in every way that matters, it still is.

Because the hair is real and kept in perfect condition, it behaves like hair — not like a hairpiece. It is washed, tied up, styled and lived in, exactly as your own.
What sets the result apart is not only the hair, but how it is joined. Andreea is a certified Great Lengths artist; the hair is always Great Lengths, and the application is chosen to suit you — drawn from a small, carefully chosen set of professional systems rather than forced into one. The right bond for your hair, never the other way around.
La Mue rarely relies on a single method. Andreea reads your hair first — its density, its movement, the way you live — and combines techniques across the head, choosing the right bond for each zone. It is this matching, more than anything, that separates extensions you notice from a crown no one can find.

When the time comes to remove them, your extensions need not end there. Through Great Lengths, the hair can be donated to the Little Princess Trust — turned into wigs given freely to children and young people who have lost their own. Luxury that leaves something kind behind.
